Health Canada

I'm reading up on the breastfeeding recommendations from Health Canada and i'm very happy to see that it's all the same as the Swedish recommendations! Feels good to know that i can be a 100% confident in my choice of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months. Now we just have to hope that baby Beninger agrees :)

Good wednesday morning

Here i am, four days over due. Pretty cranky and anti social. But today i think i'm gonna try a more posivite outlook haha if possible.
Having my midmorning snack right now, probably could do something more healthy but what the heck! Coffee and cinnemon roll, home made of course. Makes it ok right!?

I have to book an ultra sound appointment today. Routine if you go over due for more than a week i guess. Booking it for monday i belive. Hopefully we'll have a baby before that and won't have to go!

I'm out of flour...which is a big deal here. No bread baking this morning then. Brian's got the car and i think Brian's grandmother would have a heart attack if she found out i took the bike. it's probably about 8km round trip. Could help the baby out tho?

Feels like fall

The baby ticker to the left has started to go up again...two days over due. No sign of baby.

Anyways, I'm making my moms, super easy to make, apple cake today (again) haha

Recipe:

2 dl (200ml) white sugar
2 eggs
2 dl (200ml) flour
about 5-6 apples
butter
cinnamon
pärlsocker (have never seen or found it in canada)

Pre heat oven to 200 C (400F)
Beat suger and eggs, add flour.
Pour batter in to a pie dish.
Peel and slice apples, place in batter.
Slice butter with cheese slicer over the cake. as much as you need to cover it.
Sprinkel cinnamon (the more the better) and "pärl"sugar on top.
Bake until it's got a nice colour and it sets.

TODAY!

Today should be the day...i feel nothing in my belly. Except butterflys!
I just got a text from my friend Annika, she had a little girl a few minutes ago! :) so happy for her and her now family of four!!! Grattis vännen! On "my" date haha maybe i'll get hers, the 30th ;) But i'm still hoping for today!

Think we're going in to town to look around and get a new shirt for me! i'm so sick of the mat-clothes i've been wearing all summer!!! Can't freaking wait til i can go do some fall shopping for real!

Aaahhhhhh! Baby come out! to be honest i'm getting a bit restless and anxious. I'm more then really now!

one day left!

ok so we have one day left of pregnancy. I really hope it's just one day! can't belive it tho. I've been pregnant for 9 months! this is it now! i'm getting more nervous now when i think about it. not for the delivery but for the big change in our life i think. or really i don't know what i'm nervous about. everything i guess! but at the same time i know this is so right! and i'm more excited then nervous really!

Don't know it i'm just imagining but last night i totally (i think) felt some kind of period pain and i hope that's a good sign and tha the labour starts soon!

My midwife said yesterday that she can't sat a day, even tho Brian kept asking haha i guess nature has it's course. By the way, we almost missed our last midwife appointment yesterday cuz of me and my not so functioning brain. I was a 100% sure our appointment was at 15.15 and when i checked my calander to make sure at 9.15 it told me we should have been there at....9.15. Luckely she could fit us in at 11.30. But i still had time to freak out and cry for a bit before that was all figured out. Hormonol imbalance!? lol

Haha 3 days left!? that's almost a bit bizarre!
Brian's at school for swedish this morning..he went in the winter too before he left to keep working back in Canada. So he's just gonna go for a bit again before baby comes.
I'll be at home all day. Doing some baking and reading and other things i like! mmm some pre-baby quiet time. Soon we'll be way too busy and happy with diaper changes and stroller walks!

The pants came in yesterday from me&i. LOVE them!

No baby

So there was no baby last night. Even tho Julia had a dream about it haha..But today might be the day!

We're going to Hudiksvall to get a USB stick for all my pictures i have on my camera today. I think i have pictures from easter two years ago on there...and everything that's followed. Not good if i would lose it somewhere! And now with the baby coming there will be alot of pictures taken i bet!

I've had some problems with the comment field in the blog. People that don't have a google account or a blog didn't know how to comment. But i tried and if you just put whatever like "shfksfhdjsfhsk" in the OpenID field it will work.

I'm so freaking bad with computers! I really want to make the blog look nice but i just don't know how to! I picked another template but it's not at all what i want the blog to look like...well well...someday maybe i'll find someone to help me.

My friend Julia just texted me to say that the baby is coming tonight!!! weee! haha she had a dream about it that had felt super real! she had to dubble check her phone when she woke up to see if i had texted her to say we were at the hospital! And after the 5km bike ride we just did i think it might happen tonight too!

I'll update tomorrow to let you know if the baby is here or not!!!

Sunday morning!

Good morning world!
I've been really lazy with the blog the last couple of weeks. But i'm back in the game now! i hope. When Brian's here i don't take the time to sit down by the computer. He's out hunting with dad this morning so I feel like this is a good opportunity to get some extremly impotrant stuff done! like blogging :)

It's only 6 days left til our due date and i can't even explain how excited and eager i am for baby to come out!! it's getting to me now, the pregnancy. everything's harder and I can't do what i'm use to. like painting my toe nails and getting my shoes on. haha the crocs are my best friends! even tho they are the uglyest things in the world! the other day we were in the car half way in to town when i realize i'm wearing them. I made Brian turn around so i could get my runners instead lol

We've been thinking alot about names and right now we're pretty set on Alice or Charlie. But that might change when we see the little sweet pea. We were thinking about William before and that was our first choice but after brian's sister and husband thoughtfully told us to consider the nicknames he might get, Billy or Bill, we kind of put the on hold! and with the choice of middle name we had, Robert (Bob) he might end up in an even worse spot = Billy Bob haha

I'm sitting here just enjoying my 61kg (134 lbs) and my swollen feet! haha brian's here and that makes everything feels lika a walk in the park! He's out in the garage with my brother right now working on the car. The feeling of being a family is wonderful!

I've been preparing a bit for the hospital and the baby's home coming. Washed some tiny little clothes and blankets. It was the cutest thing too see them hanging there to dry in the sun! i've been trying to make a list of things to bring to the hospital but i'm sure i've missed something. Have to go over it again.

We had a midwife appointment this morning. Brian's first time meeting Maria, my midwife here in Hudiksvall. She did such a good job speaking english! Love her! Brian even got to feel the baby's head though my belly. "oh it's big hun!" was his comment! haha don't freaking tell me that!!! haha

I think i'm gonna go out and put my feet in a bucket of cold water and read a book now!
